LYSINE: An essential amino acid, it is found in muscle tissue. Soybeans are high in lysine, but rare in other vegetables. Lysine insures the adequate absorption of calcium, helps from collagen (which makes up bone cartilage & connective tissues). It aids in production of antibiotics, hormones & enzymes. A deficiency may result in tiredness, inability to concentrate, irritability, bloodshot eyes, retarded growth, hair loss,  anemia & reproductive problems.
